As a visionary market maker, Nat looked at San Diego’s sluggish downtown and with his unrivalled passion decided to make it California’s new urban destination of choice. To do so, Bosa assembled a team to rethink the downtown living experience and tell the story to a local and international audience. Working with the internationally revered architects Kohn Pedersen Fox, award winning Hirsch Bedner Associates interior designers, acclaimed London-based storytellers Wordsearch and S&P Real Estate, a fresh approach to creating a dialogue with the market was created.
RETHINKING A SKYLINE
To ignite interest, the Bosa team created a destination exhibition called Rethink Downtown that would juxtapose the city’s historic past with its new, vibrant urban future. Local and International community members were invited to collaborate and help envision a new way of California urban living. More than 6,000 people joined the conversation over twelve weeks.The first development to emerge in Bosa’s bold new vision for San Diego was Pacific Gate, a soaring tower that revolutionized real estate development in California with the introduction of Southern California’s first super prime tower. A development of this magnitude had never been attempted in San Diego.
